Birthday cake with strawberries and Vanilla pudding or cool whip?

So I'm making a 2 layer white birthday cake I want to put sliced strawberries in vanilla pudding or cool whip in between the two layers and heavy cream as frosting which do u think will taste and hold up better? Any opinions or suggestions
