If you share a title to a car can the other person revoke the car?

I traded my car into a dealership for $300 and my step dad paid the rest of the amount. Through doing that both of our names are on the title. I pay car insurance (only my name is on the insurance), gas and maintenance/repairs. Can he relinquish the car if he so desired even though both of our names are on the title?
