Is there anyway I can get my child's father to sign over parental rights if he's getting deported?

My son father was on tge track team at my college. He's from Africa tho. And his permit from graduating expired. He's almost 30 days into the 60 day grace period they give you to figure something out. Nothing is coming up and it looks like he's getting deported back to africa. Can I legally get him to relinquish parental rights if he'll be deported. He has no role in his life as is. He stays in a state thousands of miles away.
